This project reimagines the Universal Declaration of Human Rights through the visual language of protest and public communication. Inspired by Chinese dazibao (big-character posters), the work uses bold typographic layouts and symbolic imagery to amplify the voice of the UDHR in a contemporary context.

The publication draws from both newspaper aesthetics and propaganda posters—featuring oversized headlines, classical serif text, and monochrome halftone imagery in navy and muted pink. Each spread visually interprets a different article using metaphor, irony, and visual rhythm, prompting readers to reflect on the relationship between law, freedom, and reality.

By employing poetic "paintings within characters" (字中画), the work captures the beauty of Chinese landscapes while celebrating the depth and elegance of traditional Chinese culture.
